2005/11/11 Taste Of Chaos, Brighton and a general update.Once again i have left this blog unattended for the best part of forever, but i have now returned. So how is everyone? To everyone who has left me a comment, i'm going to write thism, change the song and then comment back :) so if you commented and you've revisited, the chances that you have already read my comment.
So recently. Still working for Social Services. Now a Senior Childcare Officer. The job is going well and i'm enjoying it, so the applicatoin to the RAF and the Army is on hold. Can't remember if i added that i was in a car accident on this blog. Well, the car is now fixed and i didn't enjoy parting with that amount of money.
Closer to date... I went to the Taste Of Chaos Tour last night which was held at the brighton Centre. There were some acts which i was expecting more of. (The Used) I thought they would be a little better. They were completely upstaged by Story Of the Year. I have to say that it was close to being the best performance i have EVER seen by a band. They were so stupidly tight that you could be excused for thinking you was listening to a special edition of their album. And the stage act!!! OMG. How many bands do you know go to each end of the stage (which puts about 30ft minimum between them) and throw the guitars to each other (at least £800 each worth of guitar) And they still managed to keep in time with the song. Seriously. They had everything that you would want from an amazing gig pinned down to the finnest points. It was more like art. enjoyed Funeral For A Friend. Was good to see them play. have wanted to see them for ages. I was impressed with them, but they have nothing on SOTY. My friends Lucy and Gary got photo passes last night for the show and fuck me, they took some amazing pics. Especially from the FFAF set. Gary uses his "contacts" a lot for events like this and usually gets passes and Lucy is just lucky to be the girlfriend. (she knows it). I'll try and get hold of a couple and post them up. (If they let me).
Right. This is a band that you need to check out. The Riverclub. They have released their debut album 'Long Before I Reach The Phone.' have to say that i'm really enjoying it. So much so that i don't know which track to put up. So i guess i'll just have to go through them. The drummer in this band used to be a mate of mine. I havent seen him in so long. Good to see he's doing well.
Talking of bands, I'm in one again now and we have a couple of shows comming up. Go to www.asperfectasyou.tk or www.myspace.com/apaymusic for more details. We should be doing a tour next year, so come along if we're playing near you. 2005/09/23 Crap WeekIts been a crap week because i crashed my car last saturday which really sucks :( I have mild whiplash... my neck and back hurt like hell in the mornings. I might put some pics up of the car if i get a chance. i'll either be getting a new car or repairing th old one. not sure yet. what ever happens. It needs to be done soon! Straight after the crash, i had to go straight to work to complete a 24 hour shift. was not fun at all, but i had a lot of support from the other staff. so it wasn't as bad as it could have been (Thanks!). On the subject of work, i have been offereed a temp contract as a senior childcare officer. Looking forward to that. i start on the 3rd of October! (wish me luck!)

Speak now or forever hold your peace in pieces. 2005/09/04 The Academy Is...I am hooked on this band at the moment! :) i can'rt seem to stop listening, i can see this turning into another unhealthy obession with this band. Ahhh well, whats anyone going to do about it :) I'm currently split between two songs. (The Author and In Our Defence.) So, i have decided to put up In Our Defence and i will put up The Author next week-ish. They are touring at the moment i think and i really wanted to go and see, but i have heard that they have sold out :'( meh, i'm going to keep looking. Hidden In Plain View are playing too, Should be seeing them... i hope. The not going to Reading didnt effect me as much as a ithought it would. mainly because i didn't think about it and avoided the TV and radio at all costs. I am jealous but theres not much i can do except wait for next years Reading festival.
The past couple of weeks have been filled up with work, but i now have 4 days off :) i'm going to full advantage of this fact, not catch up on sleep that work has taken away from me and go and get my social life back :) I miss my mates and in some ways i miss college too. I'm seeing my mate Lucy later. Haven't seen her in so long, she has an obession with pasta, it's like lives in her own little world of her mates family and everyone/thing important, but the world is made out of pasta. That sounds like a pretty cool world actually. hmmm. Have also seen Nick (always looking for the ladies), Tasha, Ben (a bit) and my beautiful girlfriend Joey :)... i don't know why i'm mentioning these people.... nearly all of you dont know who the hell i'm on about. so i'll stop that.
Someone has annoyed me recently. Paris Hilton. I been watching some of the simple life. and fuck me, i would hate to be near her, and her other slut friend. my friend claims to have met Paris... i don't believe him, he's gay and he says she's a really nice person, but he would say that about anyone who has a shit load of money or a huge cock. She thinks she's gods gift and has this thing where "daddy" will bail har ugly whore ass out of everything. i don't know how how anyone can admire/respect her. She got screwed on some cheap film just to be famous. Ew. That guy must have been blind. And anyone think shes attractive, you really need to get youer head checked. Most blokes say shes hot because shes a dirty slapper and has more cock than hot dinners. I would LOVE to see her at some boot camp or something. Teach the silly bitch that the world doesn't evolve around her.
I think thats the end of that.

I'll write a tutorial on how to add it to your space and how to use it as people seem to be having problems in using them. they do work... as i and other people i know have proven.
If there are any readers which read this senseless crap... Go and get a book by Bill Bryson called The Lost Continent. It is the funniest book i have read in a long time and recommend it to anyone who likes books that can put you into fits of laughter.
Went to Brighton ages ago with my mate Erin... (Shes emo... she cant help it) And we saw some crazy bloke on a tight rope playing some Irish song on a violin... It was more than impressive. So much so, out came the poor quality camera on my phone and the picture taking commenced
Anyone who can do that has complete respect from me as, to me, thats more god like than a tallent.
So... what else has been happening... work, and a shit load of it too. To the point, i am wondering how i have survived. I feel a bit like this...
One more thing, Please rate my monkey...
I have to go to hospital soon about my eye... not looking forward to it. Its another thing of "ok thank you, come again in another 4 years." i forget after the first half hour of being there as to why im actually there. The thing in my eye hasnt done anything to me for the past 14 years... why break tradition?
